Is Redmi Note 9 a Good Choice?
Well, Xiaomi is a well known brand and it is still #No. 1 smartphone brand in the mid-range mobile segment. Now the company has launched its Redmi 9 and it is packed with decent hardware. But here i would like to highlight some points regarding new Redmi Note 9 and later you can decide, you want to purchase it or not!
Here’re the 5 cons that i noticed…
#1. Pre-Installed Apps
The biggest disadvantage of this device is, it comes with pre-installed apps which have been banned by Indian Government. These apps are MI Community app and Cleaner App. So these bloat wares may cause security issues.
This issue has been noticed by many people so may be in the later upgrades it will be fixed. But at the time of purchase, you will get these apps and its our job to aware you.
#2. Over Priced
Xiaomi always keep the devices price low, but this time they overpriced the Redmi 9 phone. As per the Tech experts and Tech Youtubers, the price of this phone should have been under 10K. We personally feel, yes it is bit overpriced and its priced should be under 10K for the base model which comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
#3. Less Power – Helio G85 Processor
As this device is overpriced, so Xiaomi should provide MediaTek Helio G90T. Though G85 is not bad, but we can expact G90T from Xiamoi as its competitor brand Realme is offering G90T gaming processor in the Realme 6i.
Another thing is G85 and G70 both processors are very close in power. I would say G70 is slight offer less power aroudn 5%-6% than G85 so if Xiaomi goes with G70, then they can keep it’s priced below 10K.
The reason is G85 doesn’t make any sense. Its power is nearly same as G70 (as i explained above). So why pay more?
If Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 would have with G70 processor then we could have seen a big price drop and it wins the first spot in this mid-range price segment!
#4. IPS LCD Display
Though the display is FullHD but it is not superAMOLED. If we compare the Samsung’s M21 with Redmi Note 9, then we can see Samsung offers best screen to customers and it gives nice viewing experience. So that’s another con we noticed.
#5. Selfie Camera
Note 9 offers only 13MP selfie camera which is less than Samsung M21 selfie camera. So for the selfie lovers if you have been looking for more pixels in the front camera then Samsung offers best selfie camera in the price range.
As I can see in this price, the specs that offered by Xiaomi in Redmi Note 9, are not OK. At least company should provide sAMOLED screen and better selfie camera to users.
So these are some cons that we noticed. If you can compromise with these things then GO AHEAD and buy this smartphone without any doubt!
